The greatest records are timeless, a certain mixture of qualities, like good cake!
We didn’t ask “What makes a hit record?” We asked ourselves “Which songs made you want to be a musician?”
It’s been an exciting journey through many musical genres. We found early Rock’n’Roll on Dad’s old record player, the orchestrated sound of the 60’s, Guitar Swing, Rock Classics and some Dance and Groove numbers.
We blended those elements and added some ingredients of our own (yes we are still trying to write a hit song too!) and thus developed the Lemon M sound.
But more than that, we made an interesting discovery:
We realised that all the music we play was written in the same language. It’s the universal language of love which brings people together.
That’s a language we like to speak, that’s why we became musicians, that’s Lemon M
